Security

How the site protects you, the scams to watch for, and a checklist to run before every swap.

Last updated: October 6, 2026

The short version
  • We never hold your crypto, so there’s no balance here for anyone to hack.
  • We will never contact you first, and never ask for a seed phrase or private key.
  • Most swap losses come from user-side mistakes and scams. The checklist below covers the big ones.

How the site is set up

  • No accounts, no custody. There’s no login and no wallet on our side. Your coins go from your wallet to the exchange partner and back to your wallet.
  • HTTPS everywhere. Every page loads over an encrypted connection. Check for the padlock and the exact address crypto-swap.online.
  • Minimal data. We collect as little as possible. See our privacy policy.
  • Swaps run on the partner’s infrastructure. The partner runs its own security, monitoring and anti-money-laundering checks.

Scams to watch for

These are the ones we see most around swap services:

  • Fake support. Someone replies to your public complaint on X or Telegram, offering to “recover” a stuck swap. Real support never DMs you first.
  • Clone sites. Lookalike domains with one letter changed, often promoted through paid search ads. Bookmark the real address.
  • Address poisoning. A scammer sends you a tiny transaction from an address that starts and ends like yours, hoping you copy it from your history next time.
  • Clipboard malware. It silently replaces a copied wallet address with the attacker’s. You paste, you don’t notice, the funds are gone.
  • “Guaranteed” returns. Anyone promising to double your crypto, or offering a better rate if you send to them directly, is running a scam.

Your pre-swap safety checklist

  1. 1Check the URL bar shows exactly crypto-swap.online before you start.
  2. 2Paste the receiving address, then compare the first and last six characters against your wallet app.
  3. 3Confirm the network matches, for example USDT on TRC-20 versus ERC-20.
  4. 4Add the memo or destination tag if the coin needs one (XRP, XLM, TON and others).
  5. 5For a first swap or a large amount, send a small test first. The extra network fee is cheap insurance.
  6. 6Save your swap ID until the coins arrive.

Keep your own wallet safe

A swap is only as safe as the wallet it lands in. Write your seed phrase on paper, never in a photo, cloud note or email. For larger amounts, a hardware wallet keeps keys offline.

Keep your wallet app and browser updated, and be suspicious of browser extensions you don’t remember installing.

If something goes wrong

  • Swap stuck or delayed: contact the exchange partner’s support through the widget, with your swap ID.
  • You’ve been scammed: stop sending funds, save transaction hashes and screenshots, and report it to your local police. In the US, file with the FBI’s Internet Crime Complaint Center (IC3).
  • A site or account is impersonating us: email support@crypto-swap.online with the link and we’ll report it.
  • You found a security issue on our site: email support@crypto-swap.online with details. Please give us reasonable time to fix it before going public.
