The mistake on this pair: your 0x address exists on many networks
Your 0x address is the same on Ethereum, Arbitrum, Base, Optimism and BNB Chain. That makes it easy to mix them up.
If the widget pays out on Ethereum mainnet and you check your wallet on Base, it looks like nothing arrived. The ETH is there, just on another network. Switch the network in your wallet before you panic.
The real risk is pasting an exchange deposit address that only accepts one network. Check the exchange’s deposit page says Ethereum (ERC-20) before you paste it.
Fixed or floating for BTC to ETH?
Fixed. A Bitcoin deposit can sit unconfirmed for 20 minutes or more when blocks are full, and ETH can move a few percent in that time.

Do I pay gas to receive ETH?
No. The fee for sending ETH to you is built into the rate. You only pay the Bitcoin network fee for your deposit.
Can I receive ETH on Arbitrum or Base?
Only if the widget offers that network for the payout. Your 0x address works on all of them, but the ETH arrives on the network the swap uses, usually Ethereum mainnet.
What is the minimum for BTC to ETH?
The exchange partner sets it and shows it in the widget before you send. It changes with network fees, so check it each time.
Can I send BTC from an exchange account?
Yes. Some exchanges hold or batch withdrawals, so the swap may start later than you expect. On a fixed rate, that delay can expire the quote.
Which Bitcoin address types can I send from?
Any of them. bc1q, bc1p, 1 and 3 addresses can all send to the deposit address. What matters is sending on the Bitcoin network.
What happens if BTC drops while my deposit confirms?
On a floating rate, you get less ETH. On a fixed rate, the amount is locked as long as your deposit arrives inside the window.
