Swap ETH to USDC
Swap ETH into USDC without connecting your wallet to anything. Send, receive, done.
Honest note: both coins live on Ethereum, so a DEX is a real alternative here. We compare them below.
ETH to USDC at a glance
Same chain on both sides, which changes the math compared with a cross-chain swap.
| You send | ETH on Ethereum mainnet |
| You receive | USDC on Ethereum mainnet, or another network if listed |
| Deposit speed | Usually a few minutes |
| Your USDC address | Starts with 0x, same as your ETH address |
| Memo or tag | Not needed |
| Our rate pick | Floating |
How to swap ETH to USDC
Enter the ETH amount
Keep some ETH back. You’ll need it later for gas to move your USDC.
Paste your 0x address
Your normal Ethereum address receives USDC too.
Send ETH
Send on Ethereum mainnet unless the widget offers your L2.
Receive USDC
It arrives as a token. If it doesn’t show, add USDC to your wallet’s token list.
Instant swap or DEX? Do the math first
On a DEX like Uniswap, you swap from your own wallet. You pay the pool fee (often 0.05% on the main ETH/USDC pools), gas for the swap, and some slippage on big orders.
With an instant swap, the fee is inside the rate and you pay gas only for the deposit. You never connect your wallet or approve a contract.
Our take: for large amounts on mainnet, check a DEX quote too. It often wins. The instant swap wins on simplicity, or when you want USDC on a different network than the one your ETH is on.
Fixed or floating for ETH to USDC?
Floating. ETH deposits confirm in minutes, so the rate barely has time to drift.
Use fixed only on a very volatile day, when you want your exact dollar figure guaranteed.
ETH to USDC questions
Should I use a DEX instead?
For large swaps on the same chain, a DEX is often cheaper. An instant swap is simpler: no wallet connection, no token approvals, and you can receive USDC on another network if the widget offers it.
What’s the difference between USDC and USDC.e?
On networks like Arbitrum, Optimism and Polygon, USDC.e is an older bridged version, and USDC is the native version issued by Circle. Many apps treat them as different tokens, so check which one you’ll receive.
Will USDC show up in my wallet automatically?
Most wallets show it. If yours doesn’t, add the USDC token for the network you received it on.
Can I receive USDC on an exchange?
Yes. Use the exchange’s USDC deposit address for the same network.
How is USDC backed?
USDC is issued by Circle, which reports its reserves are held in cash and short-term US government securities. Details are at circle.com/usdc.
How much gas do I pay?
Only the gas for sending your ETH deposit. ethereum.org explains how gas works.
How long does ETH to USDC take?
Usually a few minutes from sending to receiving.
